25 Best Minimalist Blogs For Moms To Follow For A (More) Simple Life.
Full disclosure here.
I am NOT a minamilist mom.
I watched the film Minimalism (Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus) years ago but have struggled to put any of it into practice.
I LOVE the idea of minimalism and have vivid dreams about decluttering our house. I 100% agree with the benefits of simple living and an organised life.
The problem is, I am just messy and so are my kids. We are a homeschool, campervan loving, slightly wild and messy family.
This year I am on a bit of a mission. To live with Intention and Joy. So I’ve been trying to bring more organisation into our lives and less chaos.
Who should I turn to for a little minimalist inspiration?
As I am a blogger, I of course hunted out other blogs that can help me with this question.
Here’s a list of 25 of the Best Minimalist Blogs that I have uncovered.
If you are a newbie to minimalism, let’s do this together. It feels mega daunting to me, but baby steps are still steps.
One box at a time.
25+ Best Minimalist Blogs For Moms To Follow.
Danish Mom.
The Danish Mom blog was the first minimalist lifestyle blog I came across a few years ago. Miriam is a Danish mom of two boys who loves to travel, cook, take photos and the all important Hygge.
What I love about Miriam’s blog is the realistic focus on how to make minimalism work with the realities of family life. She clarifies what minimalism is and is not and helps you set honest expectations that suit your life. There’s lots of other great parenting advice on there too.
Simply + Fiercely
Jennifer was afraid of living a life half lived. The first step she took in changing her life was clearing out the clutter, letting go and listening to her heart first.
Her blog and podcast are full of simple challenges to declutter your life but also why you might get stuck when trying to minimise (both hands up). Being stuck in a clutter cycle, decluttering without stress and even journal prompts and questions to ask whilst you make space for more life and less stuff.
You can easily lose yourself in her articles, so make some time to create a simpler life with more ease and fun.
Balance Through Simplicity
Reading why Antonia started her blog is like reading about my own life. Struggling with the challenges of raising two young feisty girls (mine are boys), building a business and juggling everything mom life entails.
Her blog is her own passion project where she gets to share and teach all the simplifying techniques that have changed her own life.
Antonia talks about the important things; intentional living, self-care, simple living and also the ways to clear space in your life to be more productive and less busy.
The article that instantly jumped out at me? 5 Easy ways to start simplifying your life when you don’t know where to begin.
Yes to that!
Raising Simple
Zoe’s blog is all about helping families to streamline their homes and their lives to live more fully with joy and purpose.
This is music to my ears. Joyful living is the name of the game in our house.
Whether you want to simplify a small space or your entire home, Zoe is the mom for you. She not only deep dives into the strategy of decluttering but also the reasons why having less is good for you.
As a mom she is believes families thrive more when they have less. There’s a lot to learn from Zoe and I’m just getting started.
Be More With Less
Courtney Carver is not only a content creator and author of Soulful Simplicity, she also hosts a podcast with her daughter, Soul and Wit. That makes her a bit of a guru of minimalist living in my eyes.
She does all this whilst living with Multiple Sclerosis. Super momma if ever there was one.
She’s extremely honest and shares personal stories with her audience, which I love. Her blog posts are a mix of decluttering advice, living life as an introvert, how to cope with busy seasons, why we need to declutter social media and even how you create a capsule wardrobe (terrible packer mom here, I need Courtney’s advice).
Zoe has written a book:
Minimalism For Families: Practical Minimalist Living Strategies To Simplify Your Home.

Zen Habits is the powerhouse of minimalism blogs and goes deeply into the emotional aspects of minimalism. She has interviewed families for her Minimalist Family Series who have downsized and made the move to minimalist living and posts specifically about dealing with TOYS. Anyone else have a love/hate relationship with too much Lego?
She’s also written three books now:

Slow Your Home
Brooke is an author, blogger and podcast host of the astonishingly popular The Slow Home Podcast.

A To Zen Life
Marissa has created a really fun blog after a challenging start in life. She lost her parents, friends and home and descended into a dark and difficult place. Minimalism changed her life from an emotional hoarder to a frugal, minimalist and happier lifestyle.
I have huge admiration for Marissa and love that her blog includes ways minimalism and letting go can improve your bank balance and your health.
As a mom of two boys, she understands how hard it can be to avoid collecting too much stuff. My favorite post is the One in One Out Rule Is The Secret To A Clutter Free Home.
This is something I have implemented with immediate effect.
Miss Minimalist
Francine Jay says to her minimalist approach “isnโt only about white walls and empty spaces”. That’s good to read as this is something that has put me off minimalism in the past, being a lover of crazy patterns and colors.
She talks about the power in one less thing, taking one thing out of your life at a time. Fashion trends, perfume, even ditching face wash with microbeads in it.
Francine has written two books:
Lightly: How To Live A Simple, Serene And Stress-Free Life
The Joy Of Less: A Minimalist Guide To Declutter, Organize And Simplify

She also has a great freebies section with moving checklists,self-care help and a 30 day decluttering challenge.

Allie also hosts The Purpose Show Podcast.which is new to me but I am already 6 episodes in. It really is great!
And of course she’s written a book (two in fact):
Messy Minimalist
Rachel’s is a “messy person with a minimalist mindset”. What more need I say? I think that sums me up 100% (and I am guessing you too). Her blog posts and YouTube channel are full of realistic insights on topics such as how many bed sheets you really need and minimalist homeschooling for beginners.
Note Rachels has not posted a new video since 2021 but there is still a lot of useful information on her website.

Each recipe needs 10 or fewer ingredients, one bowl or less than 30 minutes to prepare.
This weekend I plan on trying the Easy Gluten Free Peach Cobbler. I may even share a photo on Instagram of it and I am not a food sharing kind of gal.
