59 Affirmations for Gratitude and a Positive Daily Attitude.

Gratitude is a beautiful thing to nurture.

The best thing about it?

It works just as well for the smallest of blessings as well as the biggest.

Saying โ€œI am grateful for this hot cup of coffeeโ€ might make or break a difficult day.ย

It wonโ€™t take you long to adopt an attitude of gratitude if you start small.

You donโ€™t need to wait for a holiday win to start feeling grateful for all that you have already in your life.

I have used affirmations for many years and they have given me a pinprick of light in the most difficult of times.

How can you start your own gratitude journey?

Use Daily Affirmations for Gratitude.

Repeating statements daily, either in your head, out loud or writing it down, makes you more likely to stay committed and positive.

Think about it.

If you keep telling yourself โ€œI am capable, I am braveโ€ you will inevitably feel more capable and brave.

Then you will take more courageous actions, hence creating the habits you so desire to be true.

โ€œYou need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That’s the only thing you should be trying to control.โ€

How to get the most from your affirmations for gratitude.

Say them consistently and frequently.

Say them out loud if possible.

Write down any you are really trying to work on.

Be specific.

Visualise it.

Another tip I was recently given by my beautiful friend and yoga teacher is to say affirmations with a physical reminder. Tap your wrist as you repeat it. Then you are combining Affirmations with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).

An important thing to remember about affirmations; they take time and persistence.

It is also a good idea to practise your chosen affirmations even when you feel great.

If you can make them a habit in this easier time you will be better placed when faced with negative experiences and negative thoughts.

Keeping a gratitude journal is another great way.

I actually have three journals on the go right now but I keep one specifically for gratitude journalling and thinking up new affirmations.

The others are for self-development, business goals or family/motherhood journalling.

Why not try using your journal at the end of the day? Then say your affirmations one last time before bed?

So, what are you grateful for today?

Go out and shine in that feeling.
